From my perspective as a new Mum:

After having my baby bootcamp is the one thing that I have committed to for myself.  It's my time each week just for me; I try to make each session not just for my physical fitness but also for my mind and overall well being.  It'd be too easy to say 'oh I've just had a baby' and do nothing but as the weeks go by I feel stronger and more capable and am more confident in what my body can do.

The instructors are great, they do check in with you, are encouraging and offer alternatives to some of the exercises if you need them.

Overall:

What's great about the morning sessions is that they are in the morning! There's no time to think about it, just get it done and the rest of the day is yours. It puts me in a good mood for the day.

Fellow bootcampers tend to be a friendly bunch and it's nice to see the same faces and train together - I'd never work as hard on my own as I do in class.

St Enda's park is lovely; lots of hills as well as green space and it's nice to be able to move around a bit.

Lastly, the classes tend to be quite mixed which is great; you never know what's in store and that keeps it interesting.

I started mummy and buggy bootcamp when my daughter was 7mths old. I hadn't done any 'real' exercise in about 10yrs but really wanted to get a bit  fitter and lose some of the baby weight. I was afraid I wouldn't be able for it but you can really go at your own pace.  I loved bootcamp and when my second baby came along I couldn't wait to get back and started when he was 8wks. I find it such a great way of getting fit, losing a few lbs, and best of all getting up, out and meeting a few other mums and having a coffee and chats afterwards. I hope to keep it up by going to one of the evening classes when I go back to work.

makeawish-logoWe have been working with Bootcamp Ireland for the last two years. They have been a massive support to us. We have worked closely with Shelly and she has been absolutely brilliant to work with. Her enthusisam, kindness and support for Make-A-Wish has been second to none. We will be working with them again this for our Dublin City Marathon campaign and we look forward to working with them. Thanks Bootcamp Ireland for making a difference to Make-A-Wish. It is people like you, that make wishes come true!

Rachel from Spin FM

I first began Bootcamp over six months ago when I arranged for Ryan and Tracy (presenters of Spin 1038’s Fully Charged) to take part in a six week challenge from Bootcamp’s Lorraine! Having attended the first session to record material I thought, wow, that looks hard, sucks to be them. As producer of the show, I thought I was safe from the challenge, but then for reasons I can’t quite remember I got roped into taking part in the challenge! Six months later, and I am still a Bootcamper and have survived my first outdoor season! Bootcamp has made me fitter than I’ve ever been before, made me realise that I can push myself to the limit and I’ve discovered muscles I never knew I had! I would recommend Bootcamp to anyone who wants to get fit and believe it or not some of the instructors actually make rolling around in muck and running in the rain fun!

I joined Bootcamp just over a year ago. At first I found it quite hard as I was very unfit, but I always found the sessions manageable and very very enjoyable, which kept me going back. The style of training carried out at Bootcamp helped me to get fit very quickly. Bootcamp has helped me lose 4 and a half stone, combined with a healthy diet of course! I definitely credit my weekly sessions with helping me to keep the weight off too. It's a fantastic way to lose weight and get fit. I really look forward to my sessions every week, I train with a really friendly group and the instructors are very nice, with lots of helpful advice and encouragement. It's such a fun and natural way to keep fit, out in the fresh air. Since joining Bootcamp, I've completed several 10K races, including Hell and Back and the Great Ireland Run. I love Bootcamp, it's one of the best things I've ever done.

I first heard of Bootcamp through a friend of mine and decided to sign up in March 2010. It had been several years since I had done any form of training, so I was terrified when I arrived, as I didn't know if I was going to be up to the challenge.

I instantly got into the training and after the first few weeks of feeling sorry for myself after a gruelling session, I realised that I was really enjoying pushing myself harder and harder, to the point when Bootcamp became my fix for taking out the frustrations of everyday life.

I also ran my first 10k, which only two years after having a hip replacement, was something I thought would never happen. Today I am fitter than I have ever been before and really look forward to my sessions, thanks to the Bootcamp Instructors and team.

Well, it was nigh on three years ago, that I first came across Bootcamp Ireland. I had just quit smoking, and was looking for something to get my lungs (and the rest of my rickety yoke of a body) back into some semblance of order. I fooled myself into thinking that I wasn't entirely unfit, and this would definitely complement my current level of fitness...in hindsight, describing myself as "not entirely unfit" was a gross over-estimation of my ability, especially considering that I had Instructor Barry, as my very first instructor. If anything could have sufficiently described my initial experience it would have been "Operation Shock and Awe" :-)

However, three years, several adventure races, numerous running races and a marathon (as well as a bootcamper of the year award) later, I'm still doing it, and more importantly, still having a tremendous amount of fun. I am the fittest now, that I have ever been. Bootcamp Ireland is without doubt one of the best things that I've ever done, and will continue to do.

Thanks to all the Bootcamp Team :-)

My Husband and I joined Bootcamp Ireland Limerick because of an offer we got through meteor. We had just moved here to Ireland and thought it would be a good way to get out and meet new people and get in shape as well! I really loved the awesome welcome we received from Carol, and the team members, they are awesome. They pushed us to our limit but at the same time allowed us to do it at our own pace.

We have now renewed our membership to loyalty members, and I always try to encourage new members, not to be afraid but to accept the challenge because in the end the reward is great! Thanks Carol and all Team Members in Limerick you all know how to bring your own flare to the sessions! We Love It! Annacotty Group Rocks!

I joined Bootcamp Ireland last January to add to my current gym training and decided to just do Saturday mornings in the Pheonix park. The training has improved my fitness by a major scale and I've lost more weight also.

The Bootcamp Ireland trainers try to be tough, but really they are pussy cats and test your resolve on the steep hills and climbs. If anyone is looking for that extra boost in their training regime, I fully recommend Bootcamp Ireland.

Mark

I joined Bootcamp in Feb 2010 and was 16 and a half stone and was very unfit. With the help and motivation from fellow Bootcampers and instructors,I was well on my way to getting fit and achieving my goals. Within 6 months I had lost three stone and I am holding my weight at 13.5 stone at the moment.

I'm competing in 10k runs which I never thought I would do and I am training for the half marathon in the Phoenix Park in September. I would recommend Bootcamp Ireland to any body as I think its the best way of getting fit and meeting new friends and reaching new goals.

Thanks guys.

I have just completed my first 8 week session of bootcamp and am delighted I signed up. When I joined bootcamp my fitness levels were low but in the last 8 weeks I have definitely noticed a change. My energy levels have risen, my body is starting to tone up and my overall health has improved. I suffer from IBS and I find the intense exercise has helped improve my symptoms.

While I find some of the classes tough, the instructors are great at varying the exercises so it's never boring and you really feel like you're getting an all over body workout. I also love the fact the classes are outside and I'm getting use to the mud!

I just signed up for the my next 8 week series and am really looking forward to increasing my fitness further as I would love to complete some more of the races in the running series. I took part in Runamuck last weekend and really enjoyed it.
