Tim's 5th Week of Sweating Buckets at Bootcamp! |
|
So Monday night was running night. The Instructor had us pretty much sprogging the whole hour (that's various flavours of sprinting and jogging, frontwards, backwards and sidewards). While the start was just your standard running around the outside of the pitch, the circuit stations really upped the tempo and suddenly the class started getting difficult! So the Fitness Master has ass us fitness-wannabes run around mini-circuits set out in cones band stood back and laughed at our panting! (Only joking!) If I remember correctly there was a zig-zag mission where one had to basically side step around cones (touching them with the inside of your hand for added effect). There was a run-around-a-square-always-facing-the-same-way station, which I considered restful, so that was nice to take a breather after all the anaerobic work outs. It's part of the Interval Training style of Bootcamp that I really like! Then there was some sort of odd shaped "M" circuit to run around and touch with inside hand, and finally a sprint forwards, sprint backwards between two lines, capping the four stations. Cannot for the life of me remember how long was spent at each station nor how many times we did them. I do remember it snowing, doing a few press-ups, crunching through the plank and all that other good LME stuff! We had some nice warm down exercises at the end and as always, I was feeling pretty good about it all at the end!
