Hello again...Yes, it does seem like a long time ago that I posted a paragraph. There has been a much-learned lesson attached to this: Don’t let stress run you down and get in the way of a work out!
I missed Bootcamp for one week due to a chest infection that really took my breath away for over 2 weeks. This occurred just before we were due to hit the slopes in the Pyrenees (where Tim’s family live).I know, I know - going away a month before our wedding...Tim had to return home for his Grandad's 90th and it was a great break away and the best decision I ever made! We were so busy with PhDs and wedding plans etc that we were really running ourselves in to the ground. However, I am feeling the pressures to get things wrapped up and ready for the big day at this stage! but slightly more rejuvenated now! But I will say this. I’ve never had a better time skiing since I began in 2004. My thighs were in great shape (thank you squats and Burpees!!!) and I felt great on the slopes. I am giving Bootcamp the hat off for this, as there is no other explanation for my zippy skiing. I felt fitter than I ever have and moving along the flats on the slopes was a piece of cake compared to previous years. I am determined to keep circuit training as part of my fitness routine. I’m ready for Bootcamp to give me the final going over before my big day...Bring it on!
