The Craic mad mad Assault course is just that - MAD. There is a long 10km course and a 5.6km course to cover all levels of fitness. Some of the obstacles include hay bale jumps, rope pulls, a 30m fishing net to scramble under, tyre obstacles, water crossings, plenty of mud and a giant water slide. If you aren't comfortable in the water obstacles they will allow you to avoid them and carry on. Fancy dress is encouraged to add to the atmosphere of what will be a unique and fun event. There is a short video on the website to give you a glimpse of the forthcoming Craic. Later that evening there is the Craic night out in Dtwo with food platters and a bit of ‘hows your auntie...
Feedback said the course wasn't difficult but it was hard to move and laugh at the same time..!?! The organisers have teamed up with the Irish Heart Foundation and 20% of the entry fee goes direct to the charity - so it can also be your good deed for the day!

Clontarf is Ireland's flattest Half Marathon & 5mile. The course, located along the Promenade of Clontarf and Bull Island in Dublin, has been specially picked to accommodate Joggers, Runners and Walkers alike. It is completely flat, safe and contained. The natural advantages, variety and beauty of the course make it quite unique. Ample public transport, numerous aid stations, and the proximity of supporters to competitors will make this a lively, intimate and colourful event. Our philosophy is simple - we wish to empower active or inactive people with realistic Goals and facilitate them to achieve their respective Goals. The Clontarf event is designed for all levels of fitness. There are a variety of run/walk/jog distances from 5 miles to 21.1km. In 2012 we will introduce a Junior run along with the Kids mobile marathon. Includes a night out later in Dtwo with food platters and Craic.
The Wexford half marathon will feature a new challenge in 2012. The organisers have introduced a fast 10km which will compliment the Half marathon on April 22nd. The new course was very well received in 2011 with 88% of participants stating in a survey that they would recommend the event to a friend. In 2012 the race will finish in the Faythe. 'We requested a move to the Faythe as it is more spectator friendly and it's a special part of the Town to show visitors' says race organiser Eoin Ryan. As a result there will be more metres covered in the grounds of Johnstown Castle which was much admired by all participants. Short video shows the course in all its splendour
