Bootcamp Running Series: Monster MAC Adventure Race

Saturday April 30th 2011

Recommended Fitness Level: (Intermediate, Advanced & Beginners)

Beginners welcome too! Everyone can compete at their own pace!

Join Ireland's best adventure race - a new challenge. With a varied mix of challenging on road biking, off road running and a short kayak section, it is set to get the hearts racing on either the 60+km MonsterMAC EXPERT category or somewhat easier 35km SPORT category.

The route follows parts of the scenic Cork/Kerry Duhallow Way, giving you the opportunity to be part of the first ever group to complete this well designed, often challenging, sometimes gruelling, never boring course.  Incorporating a steep offroad run to a high point of 644m above sea level, the peak of Mushra More offers superb views of the surrounding countryside.  With a bike trail weaving along narrow country roads through some of Ireland's most unspoilt countryside, this challenge will start and finish at the foothills of Munster's Boggeragh Mountains in the unique Millstreet Country Park.
