Healthy Oat Squares

Photo: If you're looking for a healthier snack option that you can make in bulk and eat throughout the week then try these oat squares, they're definitely better than processed options and are great post session!

OAT SQUARES
• 1 tbsp coconut oil
• 3 tbsp peanut butter smooth or crunchy
• 1 tbsp maple syrup
• 3 Bananas
• 3 cups Oats (gluten free or regular)
• 1 Cup Roasted Nuts & Seeds – We like walnuts, pumpkin, sunflower, sesame seeds. To roast them yourself just pop them in oven for 6-8mins at 180 C

1. Melt coconut oil, maple syrup and peanut butter over a low heat when melted and mix in the mashed bananas and seed/nut mix
2. Mix together with 3 cups of oats until the mixture is paste like, add more oats if still too runny!
3. Place in a lined wide tin and bake for roughly 20 minutes at 200 C until golden brown on top.
4. Leave aside for a further 20mins to cool down before cutting because they’re nice and gooey and if you cut them too early they’ll just be wet and soggy!
5. Once cut up pack them in individual tinfoil packs to make it easy to grab them on the go. They are great 4pm snack or post session treat.

You can also add whatever your favourite flavours are: dates, orange peel, dried fruit! If you're looking for a healthier snack option that you can make in bulk and eat throughout the week
