Hi and welcome to your new Bootcamp Ireland Eight Week Training Session!

This is an eight week session, which runs twice a week at scheduled times with a Bonus Class on Saturday Mornings! The classes will be given by different instructors which will give you an overall work-out using different techniques. We will be out there training regardless of the weather conditions! As we say here at Bootcamp Ireland, there is no such thing as bad weather, juswt bad clothing!

It is advisable not to eat at least 2-3 hours prior to training to avoid getting a stitch. Please make sure to be well hydrated before your class and to have plenty of water with you during your class. This is very important and will help you train better and will boost your body’s recovery after your class. Drinking water after your work out is as important as during, so don’t forget to drink plenty of water!

When outdoors, we often train in the different areas at your location, so it is important to be early at the meeting point so you don't miss us.  Should you be more than five minutes late for a class, you may not be allowed to take part for health and safety reasons, as you would have missed the warm up: this is for your own benefit.

Make sure to wrap up well and wear appropriate clothing for your class. Breathable Layers is the key to Spring training. Wear a few light layers and add or remove them as you need them. We recommend wearing a base layer, with a sports top (Polyester is better as it wicks moisture away from the skin) with a fleece top over that. Fleece and thermal sports gear are recommended and ideal for outdoor training.

Avoid clothing with high Cotton content as cotton holds on to moisture which will give you a chill.

Often during Winter in Ireland it is often cold and dry. These are wonderful conditions to train in...it's fresh, crisp and dry outside, so don't let the cold frighten you! Bring a long a hat and gloves for you warm ups, but you'll be whipping them off in no time! The Instructors will have you moving nonstop during your class. Always make sure to have a dry top to get into on your way home to avoid getting a chill.

If it is wet and drizzly, all you need to do is prepare appropriately! Your skin is waterproof so just make sure you have good clothing! A top layer of a light and breathable water proof running top is ideal and running leggings beneath a pair of shorts will keep your legs dry. A running hat is also advised to keep the moisture off your head.

TOP TIPS TO GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR TRAINING

  • IF YOU HAVE ANY PHYSICAL REASON THAT YOU CANNOT EXERCISE, PLEASE INFORM AN INSTRUCTOR AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION BEFORE THE CLASS COMMENCES

  • ALWAYS EXERCISE AT YOUR OWN PACE

  • REMEMBER:  IT’S NOT A COMPETITION AND EVERY MEMBER IS AT A DIFFERENT FITNESS LEVEL

  • IT’S MORE BENEFICIAL TO DO EACH EXERCISE CORRECTLY AND SLOWLY RATHER THAN INCORRECTLY AND QUICKLY!

  • WHEN RUNNING OR JOGGING - FIND A RHYTHM AND STICK TO IT!

  • WHEN DOING CIRCUITS, KEEP AN EYE OUT AT THE NEXT STATION FOR A REMINDER ON HOW TO DO IT

  • ALWAYS KEEP MOVING THROUGHOUT THE HOUR

  • WHEN EXERCISING - YOUR MIND WILL GIVE UP BEFORE YOUR BODY WILL!

  • IF YOU JOINED WITH A FRIEND, AVOID PARTNERING UP WITH THEM - GET TO KNOW OTHERS IN THE GROUP WHILE YOU'RE HERE!

  • YOU WILL BE STIFF AFTER THE FIRST FEW CLASSES - BUT STRETCHING IT OUT AFTER EACH CLASS AND WHEN YOU GET HOME ALWAYS HELPS

  • AND FINALLY: HAVE FUN!
