Adventure Training Weekend

A Bootcamp Adventure Training day, going through all the disciplines of Adventure Challenges, running/jogging off road, biking and kayaking, July 17th.
Our friends at ROAR, will be putting together a great day of training, for Bootcampers who are doing Gaelforce in August or any other Adventure Challenges in our Running Series. We did a similar day recently and it was a great day out. This time, it will be a bit more intense, and will be the perfect training for GF6, and to reward ourselves, we will stay over night nearby and hangout in a local for some chat and mingling!

If you are serious about getting in your training, then this is for you, and if you want to see what Adventure Challenges are all about, then this is for you too. We will split the group into 2, so we can cater for both fitness levels!

We will go through a lot of the scenarios that you could encounter on such an event, and will learn more than from a book for sure! By doing this it saves you all a trip out west for a similiar training weekend, keeping the mystery of your actual Adventure Challenge for the big day.

We will meet at Kippure Estate on the Saturday morning, stay in local accommodation (see below) and back again on Sunday.

Cost: It will be 55euro per person for the days activities. There will be a list of mandatory kit that all will need to bring, including a bike. But kayaks will be supplied.

Accommodation: We have pre-booked rooms in Kippure House, for the Saturday night for after our training day out. We have arranged a nice BBQ for the evening time, where we can all chill out and swap training tips and catch up. The rooms are pre-booked, but they will only be available on a first come first serve basis. When the rooms are gone, they are gone, and its either camping or alternative accommodation after that. The B&B and BBQ for that evening is €60 pp (extra for more grub, and single supplement if you require it). 35e for the B&B and 25e for the BBQ.

To book your room, simply call Sinead on 01 4582889 and say that you are with the Bootcamp Ireland crew. The rooms are all twins, so if you want to share with someone in particular, then book it with them. All you have to do is book the room, the BBQ is already sorted!

To book your place on the adventure training: Please ensure that you get your €55 (for the actual days activities - not your B&B and BBQ)) to your team rep by this weds the latest to secure your place, with your name and 'ATW' on the envelope.

What to bring: As this is training for Gaelforce in August, please check out this list of what to bring with you for this weekend. Including a bike of course!

Alright... time to get booking...

Cheers,
Lorraine
