Bootcamp Ireland Sports Day Spectacular 2010 with Today FM in aid of Barretstown

Be part of Bootcamp Ireland history and join us for the inaugural Bootcamp Ireland Sports Day Spectacular at the RDS Dublin, on Saturday 18th September 2010!

  • Team Registration from 1pm. Click here to register a Team. Register early to avoid dissapointment.
  • Activities start from 2pm
  • Party kicks off from 8pm 'til late!

What's Happening?

We will have different Teams competing in Sporting Challenges like 'The Plank Off', 'Bootcampers V The Instructors', Obstacle Course, Limbo, Tug of War etc.

It will be a great day of fun challenges and games for everyone. Think of the three legged race, tug of war and an obstacle course...Army style!

It won't be as tough as your regular Bootcamp Class. We're all about the fun that day!

Invite everyone!

It's open for all, but Bootcampers in all locations: Dublin, Meath, Limerick, Clare and Cork. All Bootcampers get priority booking.

Feel free to invite all your friends and family, the more merrier.

Coming from outside of Dublin?

We know that our Bootcampers from outside Dublin are well keen to come and show off your fitness levels that you have built up over the last few sessions, so be sure to get your teams in order and get booking! We are really looking forward to meeting up with you all and hanging out for the day and night. If you are travelling to Dublin for this event, we will be organising a rate in a local hotel B&B for the Saturday night which will be perfect for your overnight stay.

How to Book

  1. log on to your profile
  2. click on 'Book & View my Events' and book in there.

Non Bootcampers simply need to do the same by creating a profile and booking in for the event via 'Book & View my Events'.

Teams

We will be asking you to make teams of 4 people (each team must include at least one girl). So, get a head start and get recruiting at your classes. It is €50 per team (all for Barretstown). Spaces for Teams are limited so get cracking! Click here to register a Team.

Each Team will need:

  • a Team Leader
  • a Team Name
  • and a theme! Make it fun. The Paparazzi will be on call, so get stuck in...it's for charity.

Don't fancy the challenges?:

No worries! We are encouraging everyone to get involve with the activities and join up with a Team, but you are also more than welcome to come along and spectate.

There'll be lots of other fun things going on while the Sports Challenges are happening so if you fancy just kicking back and having a few drinks that's cool too.

Entry is €5 at the door for those not taking part in the challenges.

(entry fee does not apply for those in a Team)

Shower and Changing facilities available for Men & Women

So if you are taking part in the Dublin Half Marathon that morning as part of the Bootcamp Running Series, you can use the showers too.

Food & Drink

There will be food vendors there on the day and there will be a bar open from the afternoon in to the wee hours with a DJ to dance the night away.

What to Wear

If your taking part in the Team Challenge Activities you will need your regular training gear.

  • a pair of trainers and socks
  • combats or whatever you have that's similar
  • Bootcamp T-shirt (if you have one) and a base layer depending on the weather
  • a dry top
  • A towel for afterwards
  • Casual gear for the party afterwards. Whatever you're comfortable in...leave the heels at home girls :)

Barretstown - Rebuilding Lives Affected by Childhood Cancer

This is a charity event so all proceeds will be going to Barretstown Children's Charity. We raised over €3,500 at our Christmas Party which put one child through a 10 day stay at the ranch this summer. We hope to match, if not beat that target.

Want to be a volunteer?

We are recruiting volunteers for the day, so if you think you have what it takes to help us out on the day and would like to donate your time for a great charity, then send us in (by email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) a pic of your self, along with a few lines on why you'd like to volunteer, and we will put you in the pot!

How to get there

Walk, jog, run, cycle, skate, fly or whatever tickles your fancy! There are many buses that pass through Ballsbridge and Donnybrook that are within easy reach of RDS Anglesea Grounds. The Sydney Parade DART Station is also close by. If you want to drive, paid parking is available at the RDS.

This is an over 18s only event.
