Fred
Bootcamp Team
Fred is our man at the Phoenix Park. Fred hails from Lyon, France and surprise surprise he loves rugby! Fred used to play rugby as a youngster and currently trains youths and teenagers at the Garda Rugby Club. Fred came to Bootcamp after years at the Gym finding the banter he had with Bootcampers a great encouragement and a reward for training. Despite working really hard at Bootcamp, Fred says the motivation you get from the Instructors is amazing and loves the atmosphere at a Bootcamp Class. He’s a very active man is our Fred: from show jumping and horse riding to skiing and even mono skiing, which is a very difficult version of skiing:! It involves ‘shooping’ down the slopes on one ski! So he's a well balanced individual :) He was also an avid swimmer back in France and has recently taken an interest in Chi Running...so watch out: if you don’t come to Fred and sign in for class he’ll come running after you!

If ever you have a question in the parks, he’s your man!

Paul O’D.
Bootcamp Team
Paul is another one of our dedicated Team Members who helps out for us. Paul hops around all the different parks, helping you all get organised and getting you all set for training. Paul will do anything once! Just try him! He’s an avid Badminton player and plays locally and competes when he can in local tournaments. One thing on Paul’s list is to try surfing...he’ll give it a bash in Ireland; but we think he should try one of Bootcamp’s Surfing Trips in sunnier locations! Paul is an active guy and use to do a bit of Downhill Mountain biking up in Cavan and Monaghan. Paul is a recent addition to the Bootcamp Team and first started because he found Bootcamp to be a great stress reliever and loves the outdoors environments and the motivation of the team environment...he also thinks it’s a great way to make new friends...so go shake Paul’s hand next time you see him...he’s very friendly!
Mark
Bootcamp Team
Mark is mad into keeping fit! He's hoping to do a few runs this year with the Bootcamp Ireland Running Series and possibly a Triathlon. He found out about Bootcamp Ireland through a physio when coming back from injury just over a year ago. You might recognise him from being "that guy" who does more press ups than anyone else! Mark loves most sports and is big into Rugby and referees for Rugby and Tag Rugby matches! He used to be a Goal Keeper for Kildare County in the Eircom League and also plays Rugby for Cavan at various levels. Mark is a great Bootcamper and is always there with a smile on his face (even when he's getting ready for his thrid Bootcamp work out that week!) and always up for a chat to see how all the other Bootcampers are getting on and encourgaing them on their way...even when he's training away! Bootcamp really is his "thing" and he loves it because: "you never know what your going to get" he says. He won Bootcamper of the year for Wesley College in 2009, so he has to try and work harder to keep the honor!
John
John joined Bootcamp Ireland in 2009 in Marlay Park and has been hooked ever since becominh a very Loya;l Bootcamper and a friendly face out at the classes! John has recently come on board as a Bootcamp Team Rep to get more involved with Bootcamp! He loves the atmosphere at every bootcamp class and the results he gets at the end of it, so you'll be sure to seem him out and about helping you on your way. John is absolutely sports mad and will play anything as long as its competitive (he's very competitive ha ha)! He is a keen runner and recently completed the Hamburg Marathon. When John joined us last year at Bootcamp Ireland he had never competed in such an event and now he's doing Marathons! His hard work and commitment is motivating: well done John! John is now currently in training for the Dublin marathon in October. He also plays squash, football, Gaelic Football and a bit of tag Rugby.
When John was aksed why he'd love to become a Bootcamp Team Rep, he replied: I can't speak highly enough about Bootcamp - If you want a new challenge that is highly beneficial and will change your life for the better you should give Bootcamp a go. You won't regret it!
Elaine
Elaine is a new face to our group of Team helpers, but not a new face to Bootcamp! Elaine has been training with Bootcamp Ireland for a while now and has been enjoying quite an active lifestyle ever since. Elaine has gotten in to Hill Walking, has just started surfing and loves a bit of swimming, Tai Chi and kayaking too. On her travels she stopped off in Peru and did a bit of snowboarding in Japan and New Zealand...as 'ye do. Since joining Bootcamp Ireland Elaine has taken part in some 10K running events including the Dublin Docklands Fun Run and the Great Ireland Run putting all her hard work at her Bootcamp classes to the test! Elaine initially joined Bootcamp Ireland with a friend to meet new people and to get fitter. She says she completely underestimated the social aspect of Bootcamp and the different events availbae beyone the Bootcamp Classes like the Ski & Surf trips away, the Adventure Challenges, the Bootcamp Running Series and all the social nights out. There is also something new and different going on so it's great fun to do different things and make a few new friends along the way. Elaine wanted to help out with Team as a way to meet some more Bootcampers and to get involved a little bit more with Bootcamp Ireland. GrahamGraham is a regular Bootcamper who came on board this summer as Team. Graham says he joined Team because "I owe so much to Bootcamp for helping me find a way to exercise that I genuinely love and for getting me in shape. So I was happy to be able to help out andmake it an enjoyable experience for the other Bootcampers. I’ve always enjoyed the social aspect of Bootcamp and joining Team was a great way to get to know even more people in more locations. I love cycling everywhere, going for runs and hiking. I’ve done a lot of hiking around the world including the Andes, Patagonia and northern Vietnam. I also LOVE scuba diving but only in tropical places. The cold, murky waters of Dun Laoghaire bay don’t do it for me I’m afraid! My favourite Bootcamp classes are ones that take place in lashing rain or 6 inches of snow. There’s nothing like lying face down in the mud doing lying hand claps with Greg or Alan spurring you on...the shower afterwards feels all the more deserved!
Cathy Cathy has been training with Bootcamp Ireland since beginning of 2010 and has made a 360 degree turnaround in her lifestyle so has decided to join up as part of the Bootcamp Ireland Team! When she's not training hard at class or out and about on a job, Cathy loves a bit of hill walking and is discovering new activities to get involved with through the Bootcamp Ireland Network. Cathy has the 'Bootcamp Bug' and is big into keeping fit now and feels 100% the better for it. She has just started a bit of running and is Bootcamp Running Series at the moment and has taken part in some 10Ks and has just built up to running her first 10 mile. (Go Cathy!)Cathy's favourite words of motivation she heard at her first Bootcamp Class is: "your mind will give up before your body does"...Cathy says: "it always keeps me going for an extra few KM!" Cathy joined up as Team because she loves how much you can get involved in other aspects of Bootcamp such as the social side, all the events, adventure days & weekends away etc. There is always something to look forward to and always a new way to push yourself. Cathy is a great addition to the Bootcamp Team and says she is "looking forward to getting a bit more involved with the people in class and giving them the same push, encouragement & support I received!"
