The much anticipated Bootcamp Christmas Party & Awards is coming soon! Following our past Christmas Awards and parties, this one will be even bigger and better!

Date & Time: Wednesday December 10th, 8pm.

Where: The Sugar Club, Leeson St.

What: We will kick start the evening with a few complimentary drinks to get you all into the swing of things, complements of BudLite! Then the Awards Ceremony will take place with some fabulous Prizes to be given out to the lucky winners! We have lots of categories including, best new comers, most improved, sweetest bootcamper, overall best bootcampers and lots lots more.. for the different locations). And dont think for a minute it wont be you… you might just be surprised, everyone is in with a chance to win! The main act on stage will be none other than the brilliant ‘SPRINGBREAK’, 80’s music band.. for those who don’t already know them, ask around.. they are the best in town and will provide us with a nite of great fun and dancing! And as if that wasnt enough, this will be followed by a DJ to take us into the wee hours of the morning!

So now you know where, when and whats going on, put it in your diaries! Get yourself geared up for it, its going to be a brilliant nite out! You’ll get to meet so many people that night, from co-members in your own locations (out of their sweats!), instructors, team, and other bootcamp members from all the other locations. The Charity:

The chosen charity for the profits from the Bootcamp Awards & Christmas Party this year is Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin. The hospital plays a huge role in the care and treatment of sick children in Ireland. Our donation can make a difference to a sick childs life, whether that be through medical research and development, or simply making Christmas Day a good memory by giving sick children gifts with our proceeds.

 

 

If any of your company, wish to make an additional donation to this fund through our fundraising, we will be sure to give those companies a special mention on the night and on our website.. ‘tell your boss we’ll give them a plug!!’.

As stated in registration email and rules and regulations, class times and locations may change from time to time during your session. The classes on Thursday November 20th, at 6:30 and 7:30 will be held in Leinster Cricket Club. Its outdoors, and will be a great class!

Coming from the canal end of Rathmines, take the left turn past the Rathmines Inn, and just at the bike shop before Aldi. Proceed up that road, and you enter the grounds. Keep left, and you will see us there. There is parking there, but expect the possibility that it will be very limited. There are no changing or toilet facilities on offer here. So do what you gotta do before you arrive!

Here we go Bootcampers.. The Launch of the Bootcamp Ski/SnowBoarding Trip 2009!!!

BOOTCAMP SKI & SNOWBOARD TRIP 2009

Following our very successful and eventful trip to Austria last year, we have made this an annual Bootcamp event! And needless to say, one not to miss! Check out photo gallery, http://www.bootcampireland.com/photos/bootcamp-ski-and-snowboard-trip-austria-2008/ for pictures!

We are heading to Zell am See in Austria which is one of Austria’s most beautiful Picturesque lakeside towns with a charming old center! When the lake freezes in winter, towns-people fish through the ice, go ice-boating, or skate across Zell’s surface to the village of Thumers-bach on the other side. The slopes there have a lot of variety and challenging terrain for the intermediates and advanced skiers and boarders, and of course a selection of beginner slopes for our first-timers!

Zell am See is very near the Kaprun glacier for us to take by storm!  The majority of Zell am See’s Schmittenhöhe slopes sweep down through the trees, more reminiscent of Colorado’s Breckenridge or classic New Hampshire trails. Ahhh.. just think of it now.. ski and board all day, hot chocolate at the top with a dash of whatever is on offer, and then ski back down to our hotel for some après ski and some more fun time!

The hotel we have booked is a luxury 4 star hotel none the less, with a great feeling of warmth and comfort! We have a wellness centre to relax in at the end of the day with a sauna, and small swimming pool. The food is magnificent and our package includes breakfast and dinners to fuel us up for our days skiing and nites of fun!

The hotel is located right in the centre of it all for shopping, nightlife, cafes and some other touristy attractions!

If you have skied or snowboarded before you know you’ll love it, and if you haven’t, well now’s your chance to give it a go and become a skier/boarder for life!

 

This trip is open to all CURRENT Bootcampers. We have to limit the places to Bootcampers only I’m afraid, due the high demand. We would love to invite everyone else on board, but unfortunately, we can’t. SO TO AVOID AN ARKWARD SITUATION, please don’t ask us.

We have a number of different rooms available, NO SINGLES (unless already allocated). There will be twins and quads. The price will vary slightly depending on what you room you get. Most of you have a balance of approximately €840. I will email separately if different. There will be a small additional charge of about €20 or €40 euro if you get a bigger room, and we will go through that at a later date when room allocating.

This current session will run for 10 weeks instead of the usual 8 weeks. This will bring us up to the Christmas break, (Yes, I did say Christmas!!). This session will get you all set for your Party season, Ski Season and Winter Sun holidays (for those who are lucky enough to go on one!). The price for this session works out slightly cheaper than the normal 8 week session, so no complaining please!! It is only 180euro and this gives you an extra 6 more  classes (including the bonus classes on Saturdays in Bushy park and Phoenix park at 11am, of which you can attend throughout the 10 weeks.

 

If you want to join up as a Loyalty member, we are taking on Loyalty members for memberships up to end of June 2009*. This works out at 580euro and is payable on the first week of your upcoming session, mid-October. We do not have an offer of Loyalty membership from now to Christmas. We’ve got a great day & nite planned for all bootcampers to join in on! You’ve been working out hard all summer and now its time to challenge each other out on the field!!!

We will have representatives assigned to each park that we train in, and this will make sure that you all support your group and come out in force!

We’re going PAINTBALLING!!!!

Followed by some socialising in town afterwards in DTwo, Harcourt Hotel!

The paintballing is the world famous IPG group, renowned for putting on a great show! We will be set up in teams and put into different scenes to give the real Bootcamp effect! There’ll be a Viet Cong Village, a D-Day landing, Double Storey Alamo Stockade and lots more!

The day will start at 9am on Saturday October 4th, and there’ll be a BBQ to allow us to regroup and see who’s going to get their own back on the 2nd part of the day! There will be full equipment, having us look like Rambo, with Full head protection and gogles, body armour, ninja suit with padded back and comado battlepack!

All you have to do is bring your cauals, old runners or shoes, and the right attitude! Bootcamp Instructors and team will be there too, so if you ever wanted to get them back for all those burpees, nows your chance!

There will be a prizes given on the Saturday nite to the bootcampers who most deserves it!

So to keep it brief, we’ll meet up at 9am, paintballing in teams all day, BBQ at lunchtime, and then afternoon of payback.. return home to change and then back out again in town for some serious fun at 8pm in a reserved section in DTwo, Harcourt Street (on the luas, and a 5 mins walk from St. Stephens green).

To book your place, simply check back here to see who your representative in your location is, and give your name and €35 to them to secure your place, by weds 1st october!!

WHERE: Kyle Grove, near Kilruddery House & Gardens, Southern Cross Road, Bray. (directions below)

COSTS: €35 for your day of paintballing, including a BBQ at lunchtime, and 100 paintballs each! If you’re trigger happy and want more paintballs, you can purchase as many as you like when you get there!

We will have some lift sharing too, so once you are booked in and paid your deposit to your bootcamp paintballing rep, let us know you need a lift or can offer a lift and we will sort you out! If you are thinking you dont want to come, cos you dont know anyone.. dont be silly, how do you think we all know each other!! :)  Its a team day out, so support your park, and rally up the troops!
