INSTRUCTORS & TEAM

Our instructors are a mix of fully qualified Irish military fitness instructors and other various sporting backgrounds! They bring with them a wealth of experience in training countless army recruits to the highest possible levels of fitness.  With a combination of sports to their names, they provide an exciting class everytime!

  • Lorraine Ho

    Bootcamp Director
    Lorraine has been running Bootcamp Ireland since the start. Her background is in Athletics and that along with her keen interest in outdoor activities and lifestyles have contributed to what Bootcamp represents today. Having travelled and lived abroad in places like California & Australia to name a few, it has inspired her to motivate Bootcampers into getting into a healthier way of life, regardless of our Irish weather. She sails, windsurfs, hikes and has surfed in many waters, here and abroad, and is keen on other water sports which she likes to include in the Bootcamp program. Also a member of the Irish Mountain Running Association, Lorraine is always eager to get outdoors and keep an active way of life

  • Barry Smyth

    Bootcamp Fitness Instructor
    Barry has been a Bootcamp Fitness Instructor for over a year now. He is in the Military Air Corps and has extensive PTI experience and NCEHS qualified which he brings on board his classes. His team training techniques gives Bootcampers the enjoyment of training in a group and pushing themselves beyond their boundaries. His pastimes included an array of Martial Arts of which keeps him on top of things! Barry has also been a Tri-athlete for a number of years now, and has taken part in Triathlons all around Ireland.

  • Declan Ryan

    Bootcamp Fitness Instructor
    Declan has been with Bootcamp for over 3 years and is one of our most highly qualified and experienced instructors. He has been training the army recruits for the past 8 years. His interests in outdoor pursuits have been a great advantage for our Bootcamp Activities, and his experience has given Bootcampers the training that they need to succeed in certain Bootcamp situations.

  • Eoin Stanley

    Bootcamp Fitness Instructor
    Eoin has been a Bootcamp Fitness Instructor over the years. He is military Air corps with NCEF qualification along with Army PTI, personal training, and team training. He represented Ireland competitively while boxing against the NYPD! Using his boxing training techniques, he has added an alternative dimension to some of his classes which have proven popular. He has also trained football and Gaelic teams in his sparetime and is part of the army diving group.

  • Darren McDade

    Bootcamp Fitness Instructor
    Darren is our most newly recruited Bootcamp Fitness Instructor. He is a military medic with experience as a PTI bringing an enthusiastic energy to all his classes.

  • Anthony O’Donoghue

    Bootcamp Fitness Instructor
    Anthony has been a Bootcamp Instructor for almost a year now. He is in the Military Air Corps and is NCEF qualified with an interest in Team training and personal training.  His hobbies include soccer, swimming and military scuba diving! He’s an avid runner and has taken part in runs in Ireland. Anthony has great motivating techniques and gives the Bootcampers that extra something to make them go that bit further!

  • Dean Jackson

    Bootcamp Instructor
    Dean is in the Army and is based in Dublin. He has years of PTI experience and has successfully completed various interested and related military courses. This along with training GAA and soccer teams as well as other track and field sports, Dean has so much to give his classes! Also a qualifed lifeguard, his classes are varied and interesting, and test the bootcampers stamina week in week out. His vast experience in many sports keep everyone guessing what's in store for each class.

  • Larry Flynn

    Bootcamp Team Member
    Larry has been one of our most established Bootcampers and our most enthusiastic Bootcamp Team member for almost as long. He is what he calls ‘an equal opportunity employer’ having an interest in most sports, including GAA, hurling, skiing, Rugby and most other ball sports, with the ability to compete successfully in almost any sport he takes up! He has participated in a number of hikes here and abroad. He has also coached football teams successfully over the years and his motivational skills keep the Bootcampers going throughout the classes, and of course his own eager participation in the classes, keeps him in top form!

  • Sinéad Dillon

    Bootcamp Team Member
    Sinéad has been a Bootcamper for a number of years now, and has been a valuable Team member for almost as long! Also known as our Adrenaline Junkie when it comes to our Bootcamp Activity Trips, she is always game for a laugh, and has the fitness stamina of a true diehard! Sinéad was a competitive camogie player for Kilmacud Crokes, playing for their senior team up to recent times. Also a member of the Irish Mountain Running Association and a keen participant in the fun runs around Dublin, Sinéad is a very outgoing and enthusiastic member.

  • Owen Murray

    Bootcamp Team Member
    Owen has been a Bootcamper for over 2 years. His hobbies include diving, kayaking, hill-walking, golf & snow boarding. He is a keen scuba diver having covered seas around the Irish Coastline and Abroad. He is a competitive kayaker, and has taking part in competitions over the years and has also taken part in a number of international hill walking challenges.
